•Robert J. Jobe, 21, 7030 Tiger Lily, Fort Wayne, Ind, was arrested just after midnight Aug. 13 on the 500 block of west Lake Street. Police reports said officers found Jobe sitting in his parked vehicle wielding a large pocket knife and yelling obscenities. Reports said Jobe resisted officer's attempts to handcuff him. He also faces charges of possession of drugs, possession of drug equipment, reckless conduct, resisting a peace officer and driving under the influence, police said.

•A tan, 1999 Honda Accord was stolen between 9:30 p.m. Aug. 11 and 4 a.m. Aug. 12 out of a parking lot on the 600 block of north Swift Road, police said.

•A purse was stolen out of an open trunk around 1 p.m. Aug. 11 on the 500 block of west Lake Street. The victim loaded groceries into the trunk, then left it open while returning the cart to a grocery store, police said.

•A portable DVD player was stolen out of a locked vehicle around 10 a.m. Aug. 4 on the 1600 block of west Lake Street, police said. Police reports said the driver's door window was broken and a bag containing four shears, two razors and the victim's checkbook also was taken.

•Numerous eggs were thrown at a business on the 1700 block of west Lake Street between 11:15 p.m. and midnight Aug. 2, police said.

•Officers were dispatched to the apartment building on the 700 block of north Swift Road at 6:07 a.m. Aug. 1 for a report of an attempted residential burglary, police said. The outside screen to a bedroom window had been partially removed, although it was not damaged. The victim told police no strange noises were heard.

•A cement sewer was spray-painted with gang graffiti between 12:01 a.m. July 31 and 8:11 p.m. Aug. 3 at a park on the 0-100 block of Michigan Avenue, police said.

•Rosendo Esparza, 57, 215 Hale St., was arrested at 7:11 a.m. July 29 at a grocery store on the 140 block of west Lake Street and charged with retail theft and criminal trespass to property after a man was seen attempting to steal two cans of beer, police said.
