CDW division inks Colorado project

VERNON HILLS -- CDW Government Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of CDW Corp. and a source of information technology solutions to governments and educators, announced that it provided the town of Parker, Colo., with an Axis Communications video surveillance security solution for its new 100,000-square-foot recreation center, allowing staff and public safety officers to monitor the multi-million dollar facility from on- and off-site locations.

VenCom Group sells Io Lighting

VERNON HILLS -- The VenCom Group Inc., a Chicago-based private equity firm, announced the sale of Io Lighting to Cooper Industries Ltd. Under the transaction, valued at $16.65 million, Io Lighting will become part of the Cooper Lighting division of Cooper Industries. Io Lighting, based in Vernon Hills, designs and manufactures technically advanced, environmentally friendly light-emitting diode assemblies for the lighting design and architecture industries.
