Fall storytime registration
A library storytime can be a rich and rewarding experience for young children. Research has shown that children who are exposed to books and reading greatly benefit from the experience. Storytimes enhance language development, reinforce listening skills, and encourage the use of imagination. Through Aug. 30, parents can register their children -- birth through age 6 -- for the library's Fall I storytime programs. This session, with a variety of times and types, will run Sept. 10 through Oct. 19. Due to the popularity of these storytimes, the library uses a lottery system to determine registration and reserves this program for Mount Prospect cardholders. Register in person at the Youth Services desk. For more information, call (847) 253-5675.
