Save Lake Michigan; Boycott BP today
BP -- another magnificent gift from Great Britain, as bad as George W. Bush and his former rubber stamp, Tony Blair.
While our "get re-elected at all costs" state, federal and local bigwigs are calmly discussing BP's unfettered pollution of America's eight-state fresh water drinking supply, nothing is being done to positively stop the poisoning of the country's most precious water.
Lots of talk, lots of grandstanding by the likes of Rep. Mark Kirk, but nothing has been done. The minute amounts are all within legal limits so state our fabulous environmental authorities.
It's OK to poison people, just do it a little at a time so that it takes 30 to 50 years to kill them. No poison should be OK despite these ridiculous standards.
OK, you Midwest Americans, you know that our useless legislators and their wholly controlled media are only making noise to pacify you. But you can put an effective stop to these greedy petroleum profiteers with the most effective weapon known to business: Boycott their stations! Don't even so much as enter their premises to buy a cup of coffee or a soda. Let them wallow in full tanks with no sale.
Want to be that force that will stop their intention to pour ammonia and mercury into our water? With their record profits, they can easily afford proper filtration and pollution control. Show the Indiana governor we mean business. I won't buy anything from BP -- I hope you will do likewise!
