Briefs: Culver's, Red Cross form partnership

CARPENTERSVILLE -- Local American Red Cross chapters are partnering with Culver's of Carpentersville on a new Culver's Cares community campaign to raise funds and awareness for emergency and humanitarian programs. Developed under the chain's Culver's Cares program, this brings together participating Culver's from more than 350 restaurants in 16 states with their local Red Cross chapters.

Broker opens new Sunbelt office

ADDISON -- Sunbelt, which specializes in helping individuals and companies buy and sell businesses, said Wednesday that Harsha Shukla is the owner of the new office serving DuPage County, which opened on West Fullerton Avenue in Addison. Shukla joins Sunbelt as a broker with more than 15 years of accounting and legal experience. Sunbelt was founded in 1978 in Charleston, S.C., and began franchising in 1993. Shukla and her husband live in Des Plaines.
