Register now for foundation's Pedal Across the Prairie

It's time to register for the fifth annual Pedal Across the Prairie scheduled from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Sept. 16 at Glacial Park in Ringwood.

Participants who sign up before Sunday will receive a free T-shirt.

Individuals or families can choose from three ride lengths, 10K and 20K trail rides or 50K road/trail ride that routes them under towering oaks and along dew-kissed prairies. Rest stops with snacks and beverages will be stationed along the routes.

Participants can start their pedal anytime between 9:30 and 11:30 a.m. and enjoy a pasta lunch and live music from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Registration is $22 per person or $40 for a family of four and includes a pasta lunch and live entertainment. Add an additional $5 fee for day-of-ride registration. Conservation Foundation members receive a discounted entry.

The McHenry County Conservation Foundation is a nonprofit organization that promotes and supports the goals and objectives of the McHenry County Conservation District and its conservation efforts. Established in 1999, MCCF has helped preserve several hundred acres of open space and high quality natural areas for our communities and also has supported various conservation projects, including local teacher education and natural area restoration.
