Abuse suit dismissed:

A federal judge for the Northern District of Illinois Eastern Division has dismissed an abuse lawsuit filed against the Wheaton police and DuPage County Major Crimes Task Force. Jonathan A. Catlin accused the officers of mistaking him for a criminal, causing him physical harm and damaging his motorcycle. Catlin alleged he was forced to the ground so hard that he suffered two herniated disks in his back, and now suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder. The court dismissed the case after nearly two years. U.S. District Court Judge Harry Leinenweber ruled the officers made a reasonable mistake in misidentifying Catlin and used reasonable force given the suspect they sought.
