DeVry reports executive change

OAKBROOK TERRACE -- DeVry Inc., an international higher education company that is the parent organization of DeVry University, Ross University, Chamberlain College of Nursing and Becker Professional Review, announced Wednesday that Paul Eppen, DeVry University's senior vice president of marketing, is leaving the organization effective August 10, 2007 to pursue other interests. Eppen joined DeVry in March 2004. DeVry is currently conducting a search for his replacement.

Calamos reports 2Q 2007 results

NAPERVILLE -- Calamos Asset Management Inc. reported second quarter 2007 net income of $3.8 million, compared to $8.1 million, or 34 cents per diluted share for the same quarter last year. Net income was reduced by 16 cents per diluted share due to expense associated with the termination of two closed-end fund compensation agreements and structuring fees related to the initial public offering of Calamos Global Dynamic Income Fund.

ISCO reports 2Q financial results

ELK GROVE VILLAGE -- ISCO International Inc., a supplier of RF management and interference-control solutions for the wireless telecommunications industry, Thursday reported consolidated net revenues of $3.4 million for the three months ended June 30, 2007, similar to the $3.4 million reported during the comparable period of 2006. The consolidated net loss was $0.8 million for the three months ended June 30, 2007, an improvement from the $1.2 million net loss during the same period of 2006.

ESI moves to larger research facility

AURORA -- Engineering Systems Inc. (ESI), an engineering, scientific and technical service firm, Tuesday announced the relocation of its Fort Myers, Florida office to the Gateway Park of Commerce at 12750 Commonwealth Drive, Fort Myers. The new location brings the office and an expanded testing and research center together under one roof. Currently, the ESI Florida staff consists of engineers, scientist, and researchers.

Party chain's June sales announced

NAPERVILLE -- Retail party chain Factory Card and Party Outlet Corp. Thursday announced that net sales for the five-week period ended July 7, 2007 decreased 2.4 percent from the five-week period ended July 8, 2006. Comparable store sales for the five-week period ended July 7, 2007 decreased 0.1 percent from the prior year.

Cabot improves its CMP Technology

AURORA -- Cabot Microelectronics Corp., a supplier of chemical mechanical planarization (CMP) polishing slurries to the semiconductor industry, Monday announced a breakthrough in its CMP technology with improvements to its B6600 platform of barrier CMP slurries for advanced technology nodes. Recent technology advancements made by Cabot Microelectronics' scientists provide excellent low-K dielectric and copper removal rate control, resulting in superior electrical performance. The B6600 barrier slurry products are being produced and used worldwide for technology nodes from 90 nm through 45 nm.
