Algonquin
•A man wanted for failure to appear in court in Kane and McHenry counties was arrested at his home at 12:15 p.m. Sunday, police said. Patrick J. Murphy, 24, of 405 Harper Drive, Algonquin, was charged on both warrants with driving while license suspended, police said. He posted $300 on the Kane County warrant and was released with an Aug. 16 court date in St. Charles. Murphy posted a $1,000 bond on the McHenry County warrant and was released with an Aug. 14 court date in Woodstock.
Elgin
•An undercover Elgin officer bought 28.9 grams of cocaine at 7 p.m. July 12 from an Elgin man, who was arrested Monday, police said. Adelfo A. Escobar, 44, of 324 Shiloh Lane, was charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and delivery of a controlled substance, police said. Escobar was unable to post a $75,000 bond and was taken to the Kane County jail. His next court date is Aug. 13 at the Kane County Judicial Center.
•An Elgin teen Monday was accused of breaking into a neighbor's home at 11 a.m. July 16. Waldemar "Wally" Troche, 18, of 841 Bode Road #N, was charged with felony burglary, police said. Troche was unable to post an $8,000 bond and was taken to the Kane County jail. He is scheduled to appear in court again on Aug. 16 at the Kane County Judicial Center.

•A laptop computer was stolen Friday from a vehicle on the 11100 block of Fleetwood Street.
McHenry County
•A Crystal Lake man was arrested after officers seized 153 bags of heroin weighing 97.3 grams, police said. Derek J. Valenti, 24, of 369 Crystal Lake Ave., was charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and possession of a controlled substance, police said. Police said they also seized $2,920 in cash and a small amount of cocaine. Valicenti remains in the McHenry County jail with a $10,000 bond and an Aug. 7 court date in Woodstock.
