Crescendo series to continue tonight

The Crescendo in the Park summer concert series continues at 7 p.m. tonight at Shady Oaks Park, next to the Community Center, 777 S. Bartlett Road, Streamwood.

Sponsored by the Streamwood High School Crescendo Society and Streamwood Park District, the concert will feature band, choral and orchestra performances by community musicians and high school students.

The concert will be canceled in the event of inclement weather. The final concert of the series is Aug. 3. For details, call (630) 372-PARK.

Watch a movie from the pool

Watch a family-friendly movie in the water at the Bartlett Park District's Flick and Float at 8:15 p.m. tonight and Aug. 17 at the Bartlett Aquatic Center, 620 W. Stearns Road.

Bring water noodles, rafts or inner tubes to float on. Advance registration fee is $5, $7 for nonresidents. Bartlett Aquatic Center season pass holders are admitted free, but must register in advance.
