Coaches needed: Long Grove Park District is looking for volunteer coaches for the Long Grove teams to join the 2007-08 North Suburban Basketball League. If there are enough volunteers, a clinic will be offered for novice coaches to learn the rules, regulations, player communications and practice drills. Bowling

August tournament: Special Olympics Illinois Area 18 will host its Area Bowling Tournament from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Aug. 11 at Elk Grove Bowl in Elk Grove Village. Area 18 athletes will compete in singles, doubles or developmental competitions. Athletes will use their scores to qualify for the sectional bowling tournament in Addison.
