Treatment Options for Blood Cancer Patients Conference Review

The 14th Annual Treatment Options for Blood Cancer Patients Conference, was successfully held at the Hyatt Regency in Lisle, Ill. on Saturday, May 19. The conference was presented by the Leukemia Research Foundation (LRF), the Cardinal Bernardin Cancer Center at Loyola University Medical Center and the National Marrow Donor Program/Be The Match.

The program featured presentations by medical experts from cancer centers in Chicago as well as the National Marrow Donor Program/Be The Match. Attendees listened to presentations by Dr. Patrick Stiff, Cardinal Bernardin Cancer Center at Loyola University Medical Center; Dr. Steven Devine, National Marrow Donor Program/Be The Match; Dr. Patrick Hagan, Loyola University Medical Center; Dr. Andrzej Jakubowiak, University of Chicago Medicine; Dr. Irum Khan, University of Illinois Chicago Medical Center; and Dr. Parameswaran Venugopal, Rush University Medical Center. Various blood cancer topics were presented, followed by an "Ask the Experts" question and answer session during lunch. The PowerPoint presentations are currently available on the LRF website.
