Learn to use Dundee Library's new language learning service Oct. 3

The Fox River Valley Libraries recently added the online language learning resource "Pronunciator" to its digital services offerings.

Learn to get the most out this powerful online tool at "Language Learning" at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 3, at the Dundee Library.

The program also will be offered at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 12, at the Randall Oaks Library.

The Dundee Library is located at 555 Barrington Ave. (Route 68) in East Dundee. The Randall Oaks Library is located at 500 N. Randall Road in West Dundee (lower level of Randall Oaks Rec Center).

Register online at www.frvpld.info, call (847) 428-3661, press 3, or in person at either location.

Pronunciator is a language learning platform with 80 different languages. Structured, eight-week courses are available, as well as open, more casual options - whichever works with how you learn best. Users learn languages and culture through images, videos, music, poetry and more. Lessons and courses geared toward children make it appropriate for any age. It also has robust ESL content for 51 different languages that includes a U.S. Citizenship course. Users can get live help from an expert language tutor by clicking on ProLive.

Pronunciator can be found on the library's website at www.frvpld.info under the "Research" tab, and can be used in the library or at home with a library card number.

The Fox River Valley Public Library District serves 70,000 residents of Carpentersville, East Dundee, West Dundee, Sleepy Hollow, Gilberts, and parts of Algonquin.
