Rep. Jesiel to Host School Funding Impact Forum

ANTIOCH - State Representative Sheri Jesiel (R-Winthrop Harbor) is hosting a school funding impact forum on Tuesday, August 22 at the Grandwood Park Park District in Gurnee. The forum will be held from 7 to 8 pm and is sponsored by the Grandwood Park Civic Association with Gurnee District 56 Superintendent John Hutton, Millburn District 24 Superintendent Jason Lind and Lake County Board Member Steve Carlson.

Senate Bill 1, as approved by the General Assembly, would redistribute school funding to heavily favor CPS at the expense 61st District schools. Please come and learn about how this bill could impact our schools. A brief presentation will be followed by a Question & Answer session.
