American Legion Auxiliary to host summer meat raffle Aug. 5

The Ladies Auxiliary of the Lake in the Hills American Legion Post 1231 will host a Summer Meat Raffle on Saturday, Aug. 5, with a new start time of 6 p.m.

Get your barbecue grill ready and come to the American Legion for the opportunity to win roasts, kebabs, steaks, gourmet brats, bacon, ribs, pub burgers, chops and more varieties of meat.

There will be multiple winners per raffle.

This fundraiser is open to the public, so bring your family, friends and neighbors too. Snacks will be served and drink specials will be available.

Proceeds will assist with funding post events and keeping the post open for the benefit of all veterans and their families.

It will be 6 to 9 p.m. at American Legion Post 1231, 1101 W. Algonquin Road in Lake in the Hills.
