Celebrate Independence Day with fireworks, music in Itasca

The Chicago area's largest fireworks display, synchronized to music, will blaze across the sky at dusk, Tuesday, July 4, at Hamilton Lakes, located at the intersection of Thorndale Avenue and Route 53 in Itasca, Ill.

The Independence Day celebration begins at 4 p.m., with music by Pat McKillen at 7 p.m. followed at 8 p.m. by Maggie Speaks, a dynamic cover band that has become a Chicago favorite. Several restaurants will offer a wide variety of picnic-style items and the Itasca Brewing Company will operate a beer tent.

Admission to the event is free. On-site parking is available for $25 a car. The fireworks are presented by the Village of Itasca and Hamilton Partners.
