Woodland Primary to Host ROAR Rallies January 20

Gages Lake--Woodland Primary School will host ROAR rallies at 10:00 a.m., 10:45 a.m., and 1:20 p.m. January 20 at the school, 17366 West Gages Lake Road.

The rallies will focus on ROAR expectations, kindness, and acceptance of others as the school prepares to kick-off The Great Kindness Challenge (January 23-27). The rallies will feature guest Student Leaders from Intermediate School.

ROAR is part of the district-wide behavioral framework, Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) theme. ROAR represents Respect, Ownership, Acceptance and being Ready to learn (ROAR).

"We are focusing on promoting kindness, acceptance of others, and positive relationships by introducing new strategies and having Student Leaders model behaviors for our students," said Kindergarten Plus teacher Kelly Shiffer.
