Candidate Forum open to the public on October 16

Bring your Questions for the Candidates!

Voters are encouraged to bring their questions for the candidates to a free, public Candidate Forum on October 16 at Glenbard South High School. Do you have questions about the State of Illinois' economic situation? Are you curious how DuPage County government will address the issues? Do you simply want to meet candidates in person rather than just receive robo-calls and flyers? Would you like to have a cup of coffee and share your own views with those running for office?

Sunday, October 16 at Glenbard South High School

1:30 DuPage County races (DuPage County Board District 4 (Tim Elliott and Khizar Jafri) and County Recorder (Moon Khan and Fred Bucholz)

2:30 State General Assembly races begin at 2:30 (including Peter Breen and Steve Swanson (48th Illinois House) and Tom Cullerton and Seth Lewis (23rd Illinois Senate). Heidi Holan, candidate for Illinois 46th House, will also speak and be available to meet voters. (Her opponent, Deb Conroy, has declined to attend.)

4:30 Amanda Howland, candidate for 6th Congressional District of Illinois, will speak and be available to meet voters. (Her opponent, Peter Roskam, has declined to attend the Candidate Forum.)

4:35 - 5:15 p.m. Candidates may remain to meet informally with voters

This Candidate Forum is co-sponsored by eight local chapters of the League of Women Voters, a nonpartisan political organization, encourages informed and active participation in government. Glenbard South High School is located at 23 W 200 Butterfield Road in Glen Ellyn.
