Plato Center HCE to learn about tai chi

The September meeting of the Plato Center unit for Home and Community Education will be Friday, Sept. 18, at the Plato Town Hall, 10N924 Rippberger Road. At 1:45 p.m., Kay Duy and friends will present a lesson and demonstration on tai chi with members of the unit participating. Please dress comfortably. The hostesses are Nancy Haire and Joan Rossi. Come early for refreshments as the meeting will start promptly at 1 p.m.

Please bring your year books as you will be filling it in for the rest of the year. Dues for the Plato Center unit of $11 are due and this will pay up to the end of 2016. Upcoming events include a lesson on health insurance for people 65 or older on Sept. 30. They will need volunteers to attend the lesson at the Extension office.

On Oct. 14, during HCE week, there will be a meet-and-greet at the Extension office and there will be more details to follow.
