Prairie Center Arts Foundation celebrates 30 years

The Prairie Center Arts Foundation will host "Back for the Future: Back the Prairie Center for the Future of the Arts in Schaumburg" from 7-11 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 12. Proceeds from the event benefit arts programs for youth and the underserved, as well as the 30th anniversary season of entertainment at the Prairie Center for the Arts.

"This year's event is a celebration of the Prairie Center's 30th season of entertainment and is themed to also mark the 30th anniversary of the release of the movie classic, 'Back to the Future.' It's a fun way to celebrate the arts and to create a discussion about the importance of art and culture in our community," said Theresa Olvera, executive director of the Prairie Center Arts Foundation.

The event will include live entertainment, food from Schaumburg's finest restaurants, a cash bar, a silent auction and a bucket raffle.

New this year, there will be several classic cars on display on the plaza just outside the Prairie Center, along with other movie themed fun. Guests are encouraged to dress in attire from their favorite era - 1955, 1985 or 2015.

The event's Title Sponsor is Resnick Auto Group, which includes Schaumburg Toyota, Woodfield Lexus, Mercedes-Benz of St. Charles, Midtown Toyota and Certified Collision Center.

Tickets for "Back for the Future" are $55 in advance ($65 at the door) and can be ordered online at www.prairiecenter.org or by calling (847) 895-3600. The Prairie Center is at 201 Schaumburg Court, Schaumburg. More information about the Prairie Arts Foundation is available at pcafoundation.org.
