Popular antique appraisals return to Dundee June 27

Is that really a Rembrandt hiding in your basement all those years? Find out at the Antique Appraisal Faire, returning by popular demand, on Saturday, June 27, at the Depot Market, 319 N. River St. in East Dundee.

"Our Antique Appraisal Faires were held last year for the first time and we received some very positive feedback, so we thought we'd bring them back. Sometimes it's not about the actual object but rather the history that is behind it. So of those stories were amazing," said East Dundee Village President Lael Miller.

Two experienced appraisers will be conducting the appraisals on behalf of MIR Appraisal Services Inc. The appraisals will be held from noon to 2 p.m. and require same-day preregistration taken at The Depot beginning at 11:30 a.m. The fee for the appraisal is $10 per item with a maximum of two items per person. In addition to this weekend's appraisal, the Antique Appraisal Faire also will be held on Saturday, Sept. 19.
