Sign up for D128's Engineering for Kids camps

District 128 Community Education invites parents looking for something that will challenge their children and keep their brains active over the summer months to register for Engineering for Kids.

The program uses fun and creative platforms that promote science, technology, engineering, and math skills using computer programs and Lego building processes and other activities. Lunch supervision will be provided for children enrolled in both morning and afternoon camps. Most camps meet Monday through Thursday at Vernon Hills High School.

Some of this summer's classes include:

• Electronic Game Design: Invader Defense (ages 7-14) Class ID: 4596, meets June 8-11;

• Heroes Week (ages 7-14) Class ID: 4595, meets June 8-11;

• Lego Robotics: Play Soccer (ages 4-6) Class ID: 4594, meets June 8-11;

• Lego Robotics: Apprentice/Master: Rescue Robots (ages 7-14) Class ID: 4600, meets June 15-18;

• Lego Robotics: Wild Animals (ages 4-6) Class ID: 4598, meets June 15-18;

• Engineering of Cities, Apprentice/Master Class ID: 4648, meets June 22-25;

• Lego Robotics Adventure Stories (Junior: ages 4-6) Class ID: 4603, meets June 22-25;

• Lego Robotics: Rescue Robots (Apprentice/Master grades 3-8) Class ID: 4604, meets June 22-25.
