Join cough pillow workshop with Plato Center club

The Plato Center unit for Home and Community Education will meet Friday, March 20, at the Plato Town Hall, 10N924 Rippberger Road.

At 9 a.m., the unit members will meet for the annual cough pillow and walker bag workshop. Jackie Anderson is the organizer for this event. Bring yourselves, sewing machines, stuffers, ironers and all work together. The cough pillows and walker bags go to Presence St. Joseph and Advocate Sherman hospitals. Ladies will brown bag lunch.

The business meeting will begin at 1 p.m. The hostesses are Marcella Drendel, Bonnie Read and Arlene Reiser. Greeting cards that benefit the Community Crisis Center in Elgin will be available.

The unit will be collecting half-year dues of $8.50 at the meeting. There are several events that will be discussed. The International luncheon in April. The country of study is Germany. The annual banquet will be at the Mill Creek Golf Club. More information will be forthcoming "Member of the Year" nominations are due by Wednesday, April 1.
