Moeller duo to perform at St. Charles library Jan. 25

The St. Charles Public Library's Sunday Concert Series will host classical guitarist Paul Moeller and cellist Kerena Moeller at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 25, in the Carnegie Community Room, 1 S. Sixth Ave.

The award-winning duo has performed throughout the United States, England and Italy and currently resides in St. Charles.

A classical guitarist, Paul Moeller received a graduate performance diploma from Peabody Conservatory of Music of The John Hopkins University, where he spent four years under the tutelage of world-renowned guitarist, Manuel Barreuco. Moeller holds a bachelor's degree from Northern Illinois University and a master's degree from the Eastman School of Music at the University of Rochester. He has served as associate professor of guitar at Northern Illinois University and is currently on faculty at Elgin Community College.

British cellist Kerena Moeller received her bachelor's degree in music from the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester, England and a master's degree in music performance and literature from Eastman School of Music. Kerena also received an associate of the Royal College of Music in London England for post-graduate solo studies and a graduate performance diploma from Peabody Conservatory of Music. Kerena is currently the assistant principal cellist in the Northwest Indiana Symphony Orchestra and a section cellist with the Rockford Symphony, Illinois Philharmonic as well as the Elgin Symphony Orchestra.

This event is part of the library's Sunday Concert Series, featuring a wide variety of live musical performances. This performance is funded through donations to the St. Charles Public Library Foundation. The public is welcome and the concert is free to attend.
