Library Invites Kids, Teens and Adults to Dinosaur Programs

Children ages five and up, as well as teens and adults, are invited to attend PaleoJoe's dinosaur presentations on Thursday, Jan. 22 at the Schaumburg Township District Library (STDL), 130 S. Roselle Rd. Presenter and author PaleoJoe will discuss animals, plants and creatures that have been extinct for millions of years, while displaying a variety of fossils.

The daytime program, "PaleoJoe's Dinosaur Day," is geared for children ages 5 and up. It will be held from 4-4:45 p.m. in the Rasmussen Room. Parents and guardians are also welcome to attend. Award-winning paleontologist PaleoJoe will tell exciting stories as he teaches the audience about dinosaurs using props, puppets and fossils. A limited number of free tickets will be available in the kidsZone 20 minutes prior to show time. Children must be at least eight years old to attend the show without a parent or guardian.

"Dinosaur C.S.I.," geared toward adults and teens, will be held from 7-8:30 p.m. in the Rasmussen South Room. PaleoJoe will take the audience back in time to learn about the victims and perpetrators of the prehistoric eras. Attendees will also hear about the techniques used by paleontologists who research how prehistoric creatures lived and died. Registration is required for this free program. To register, call (847) 923-3347 or visit the Information Desk on the library's second floor.
