RAM's seasonal eats

Enjoy the seasonal flavors of The RAM with appetizers like bacon-stuffed tater tots with cheddar Jack cheese, hickory-smoked bacon and green onion with tomato chili aioli ($7.99) or the bahn mi-style flank steak sandwich with dry-rubbed southwest seasoning on a grilled baccia roll with cilantro pesto, arugula, daikon radish sprouts, sriracha aioli, pickled cucumbers and red onion ($13.99). Dessert gets a minty makeover with mint chocolate chip ice cream topping a warm gooey skillet chocolate chip cookie ($5.79).

Pasquale's in E. Dundee

Italian eatery Pasquale's Pizza and Delicatessen recently opened in East Dundee under Robert "Buzz" Doyle and Patrick Maggi. Specialty pizzas include a hand-tossed Gorgonzola pear with balsamic glazed baby arugula; "The Goat" topped with mushroom, spinach, and goat cheese, and BBQ Chicken with smoked Gouda, red onion and fresh cilantro. Doyle and Maggi also are the duo behind the Blues BBQ and Grill that opened in October and Sweet Pop Fizz Candy Bar that came to town in May.

Billy Goat shutters Randhurst location

The Billy Goat Tavern in the Randhurst Village shopping center in Mount Prospect recently closed its doors after three years. A suburban location for the 80-year-old Billy Goat franchise, the restaurant closed its doors Dec. 15. Craving a cheezborger? Head to the Billy Goat's recently opened eatery in Lombard's Yorktown Center.
