Bob Rohrman Auto Group Donates $100,000 to Susan G. Komen Chicagoland and Central Indiana Affiliates

On Thursday, November 6, 2014, Mr. Bob Rohrman, President of the Bob Rohrman Auto Group, presented a check for $100,000 to the Susan G. Komen Chicagoland and Central Indiana Affiliates at Bob Rohrman's Arlington Nissan in Arlington Heights.

"The month of October is breast cancer awareness month. We all know someone who has been affected by this awful disease and we wanted to give back to those in our local community," said Bob Rohrman, President of the family-owned auto group. Throughout the month of October, every dealership within the Rohrman group donated $50 for every car sold to the cause, with a goal of $100,000. "We are thrilled to announce we have met our goal and can help impact the lives of those who are suffering, or who may be saved by early detection."

Susan Tybon, CEO of Susan G. Komen Chicago noted, "We truly value our partnership with Bob Rohrman Auto Group and thank them for raising vital dollars in the fight against breast cancer." She went on to add, "This partnership is a fantastic example of how local businesses can have an incredible impact in creating a world without breast cancer."

Seventy-five percent of the proceeds from the program will be allocated to local communities in the Chicagoland Area and Central Indiana to support breast health education and breast cancer services and treatment; the remaining 25% will support the Susan G. Komen Global Research Grants program for innovative, cutting-edge and life-saving research.
