State Bank of the Lakes 20th Annual Antioch Run for Freedom Registration Now Open

Run, Walk, Support! Registration for the 20th Annual Antioch Run for Freedom hosted by State Bank of the Lakes is now open for runners and walkers who wish to participate. This popular 5K run/walk will take place on Friday, July 4 through the streets of Antioch, Illinois and will begin promptly at 8:00 a.m. On-line registration and printable registration forms can be accessed at www.sbotl.com. On-line registration will be available until 4 p.m. on Wednesday, July 2, 2014. Walk-in registration is accepted at any of the six State Bank of the Lakes locations in Antioch, Lindenhurst, Lake Villa, Grayslake, Spring Grove, and Round Lake Beach. Walk-in registration ends at 4:40 p.m. on Wednesday, July 2, 2014.

Race day registration also will be available from 6:30 to 7:45 a.m. on July 4 for an additional fee. Race packets can be picked up beginning June 16 at the Antioch location, 440 Lake Street or on race day morning.

More than 1400 runners and walkers participated in the USATF-Certified and sanctioned event last year and it is a great jump-start to the Independence Day holiday. This year's highlights include free A4 Cooling Performance crew shirts for the first 1300 registered participants, medals for the top three registered runners in each running category, Chrono Track bib tag timing, and complimentary refreshments.

In keeping with its patriotic theme, runners, walkers and supporters of the Antioch Run for Freedom are asked to donate items for Adopt-A-Package , a VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post #4551 sponsored program that sends care packages to troops serving overseas. A drop-off site will be located at the event.

More registration and event information on the Antioch Run for Freedom can be found at the State Bank of the Lakes website, www.sbotl.com.
