Take time to relax at Waubonsee’s free concerts

On Dec. 6-15, Waubonsee Community College will host its annual series of five live winter musical performances in an assortment of musical genres. All shows, which are free and open to the public, will be performed in the Waubonsee Auditorium on Waubonsee’s Sugar Grove campus, Route 47 at Waubonsee Drive, unless otherwise noted.

On Friday, Dec. 6, the Waubonsee Steel Band will begin the series with a performance at 7:30 p.m.

On Sunday, Dec. 8, the Waubonsee Chorale and Woodwind Ensemble will take the stage at 3 p.m.

The Waubonsee Jazz Ensemble will perform at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 13, and the Waubonsee Rock Band will follow with a show at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14.

A general student recital will cap off the month of free music at 1 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 15, in Von Ohlen Hall, Room 114.
