Schaumburg Park District recognizes Spring Valley Nature Club

The Schaumburg Park District Board of Commissioners recognized the Spring Valley Nature Club for being an outstanding 50th anniversary partner at its Oct. 17 meeting.

Spring Valley Nature Club is devoted to the District's nature sanctuary and regularly improves the land through volunteer projects. The Club educates the community through programs and tours of the space and raises funds to support conservation and education for all ages. The Nature Club also helps diversify local household plantings through the Heirloom Herb and Vegetable Sale. The Spring Valley Holiday Bazaar, set for 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Nov. 30 and Dec. 1, is co-sponsored by the Nature Club and District.

Schaumburg Park District Park Board meets at 7:30 p.m. the second Thursday of every month at the Jerry Handlon Administration Building, 235 E. Beech Drive. The District honors an organization each month during its 50th anniversary.
