Hanover Twp. to host appeal seminar on Sept. 25

Hanover Township Assessor Thomas Smogolski, Supervisor Brian McGuire and Cook County Commissioner Timothy Schneider will co-sponsor a reassessment appeal seminar at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 25, at the township’s Senior Center, 240 S. Route 59, Bartlett. Staff from Cook County Assessor Joseph Berrios’ office will answer questions and accept property tax appeals. Residents should bring their real estate tax bill to the seminar. Hanover Township’s appeal period is open until Oct. 9, though the last day to file through the township is Oct. 8.
