Hanover Township offering range of job search services

Hanover Township is offering a variety of services for residents seeking assistance in finding gainful employment.

Job counseling is available weekdays at the Astor Avenue Community Center, 7431 Astor Ave., Hanover Park, and on Fridays at the township’s Community Relations Office, One American Way, Elgin. Township staff will work one-on-one with residents to develop a personalized plan and employment search for all types of work. Officials said a township study found a gap for this type of service in the area.

The township also launched a Job Club that meets from 9 to 11 a.m. on the first and third Monday of every month at the township office, 250 S. Route 59, Bartlett. Topics for job club meetings include resume writing, interview techniques and more.
