The Palatine Park District Feet Fest is back, so lace up the shoes and get out there at 8:30 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 25.

The 10th annual 3K Family Fun Run/Walk starts from Towne Square, 150 W. Palatine Road, Palatine. Register by Tuesday, Aug. 20, and pay $10; register later and pay $15. But here's a break: If two preregistered family members pay the full fee, all remaining family members pay $5 each.

All participants get a race goody bag and a T-shirt. The race will have a timed finish. Dogs and rollerblades are not allowed on the course; gear check will not be available.

A portion of the proceeds from this event will benefit the Palatine Park Foundation.

Preregister online at, by fax to (847) 202-7317, or at Community Center, Birchwood Recreation Center, or Falcon Park Recreation Center.

Race day registration will be accepted at Towne Square beginning at 7:30 a.m. Packet pickup for preregistered participants will be available in the Community Center, 250 E. Wood St., from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Aug. 23 and 8:30 a.m.-2 p.m. Aug. 24.
