Palatine Park District to hold Canine Carnival on Aug. 1

The Palatine Park District will put on its annual Canine Carnival from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 1, at Fred P. Hall Amphitheater, 262 E. Palatine Road, Palatine. The carnival will feature games and activities for the dogs, raffles and a complimentary souvenir photo of pets and their owners. A variety of vendors also will be on-site. Dogs must be leashed and accompanied by a handler age 16 and older. Dogs must wear a current rabies tag to participate. To complete the required preregistration, go to palatineparks.org and use program number 6727-2. The fee is $8 per dog with a handler and includes a goody bag.
