Audition or watch Schaumburg's Got Talent

Find out which family, friends and neighbors have “it” at Schaumburg's Got Talent!

The annual talent show will take place at 6 p.m., Aug. 9 at the Community Recreation Center, 505 N. Springinsguth Road. Choose to be part of the contest, perform for fun or just watch the performance.

Talent can perform competitively or non-competitively. Acts who are competing will be judged. Contestants from each age category having the highest scores from judges go on to compete via web voting on parkfun.com. Contestants advance according to the highest combined judge and community votes. Prizes will be awarded to the winner.

Contestants must pre-register to audition. Contestants will be contacted regarding audition times. Talent categories include singing, music, dancing, magic, juggling, comedy, acting and acrobatics. Age categories include ages 4 to 7, 8 to 12, 13 to 18, 19 to 25, 26 and older, and multi-generational. Competitive act fee is $5 per person for residents and $8 per person for non-residents. Non-competitive act fee is $3 per person for residents and $5 per person for non-residents. Registration forms are available at parkfun.com.

There is a mandatory rehearsal from 4 to 8 p.m., Aug. 8 for all contestants.

Tickets for the performance will be available at the Community Recreation Center north registration counter on Aug. 1. Ticket price is $3 for both youth and adults.
