In recognition of National Trails Day, the Palatine Park District Environmental Committee will host a community cleanup of the Palatine Hills Trail from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, June 1. Individuals and community groups are invited to volunteer to clear debris from the trail between the Palatine Hills Golf Course and Dundee Road. Volunteers should wear work gloves, comfortable closed-toed shoes and long pants. Parking is available at the golf course entrance, 512 W. Northwest Highway, Palatine.
