Wauconda still perfect in Prairie

Wauconda 12, Round Lake 2: Wauconda was up 7-0 after two innings. The Bulldogs got 2 doubles out of Brandon Gibis and another double out of Kyle Bock. Luke Kenny added 2 hits and pitcher Jeff Lindberg rolled up 8 strikeouts over seven innings. Wauconda is now 13-4 overall and 10-0 in the North Suburban Prairie Division.

Warren 6, Highland Park 1: Nick Orslini went 3-for-4 with an RBI while Dom Cuevas added 2 hits for Warren. Pitcher Andrew Hill got the win.

Grant 10, Antioch 5: Grant, which scored 6 runs in the top of the seventh to rally from a 1-run deficit, rolled up 12 hits and got 2 hits apiece out of Simeon Lucas, Jake Ring, Tino Torres and Ryan Noda. Noda had 2 doubles and Ring had a triple. Winning pitcher Jeremy Cokefair moved to 4-1 on the season.

Mundelein 5, Vernon Hills 2: Mike Metz went 2-for-3 and had a double to help Mundelein improve to 21-2 on the season. Teammates Thomas Gandolfi, Will Farmer, Logan Reckert and Derek Parola all drove in runs for the Mustangs. Jordan Freibrun and Ethan McGrew both had doubles for Vernon Hills, which was up 2-0 through two innings but finished with 3 errors.

Libertyville 5, Stevenson 2: Pitcher Jason Buss rolled up 6 strikeouts over six innings to get the win for Libertyville. Offensively, Kevin Calamari drove in 2 runs for the Wildcats. Stevenson got 2 hits apiece out of Jimmy Marchese and Zach Novoselsky.

Lakes 16, North Chicago 0: Lakes moved to 9-13 overall and 5-3 in the North Suburban Prairie Division with the win.
