Why are trees torn up in Willow Park?

My husband and I were enjoying our usual walks through Willow Park when we noticed every week more trees chopped down along the creek bordering the park and a tidy wood chip path being created.

We were perplexed why the village would destroy one of the few natural environments remaining in the village. We lived along Willow Park for many years and remember the village removing beavers from the creek because they were destroying trees, seems the village has now taken this mission upon itself.

How sad that money is being spent in Arlington Heights to destroy natural areas when many areas in the village are becoming a blight.
