Fore! Schaumburg Park District golf courses open March 30

Swing into spring at Schaumburg Park District!

The District’s Schaumburg Golf Club, 401 N. Roselle Road, and Walnut Greens Golf Course, 1150 N. Walnut Lane, will open for the season March 30, weather permitting. Tee times are first-come, first-served March 30 and 31. Tee times are available online beginning April 1 at schaumburggolf.com and walnutgreensgolf.com.

The 27-hole championship design course at Schaumburg Golf Club features practice greens, a driving range, teaching area, full-service pro shop and Chandler’s Chophouse, complete with renovated upstairs banquet rooms. The Academy at Schaumburg Golf Club offers private and group lessons and a player development series for golfers looking to take their game to the next level. The Golf Club also offers leagues and a junior golf program. Rates and daily specials are available at schaumburggolf.com.

Schaumburg Golf Club boasts plenty of new amenities this season. The new mobile website for the Golf Club, located at m.schaumburggolf.com, offers players tee times, flyovers, distances to each hole, directions, weather conditions and a photo gallery. The course also has new golf carts with an upgraded GPS system complete with graphics.

“The upgraded golf carts allow players to see the yardage to different areas of the green, bunkers and lakes,” said Golf Director Pepi Irwin. “Golfers will now have a more accurate idea of what is ahead of them during play.”

Walnut Greens Golf Course, a nine-hole, par-3 course, offers a pro shop, adult and junior leagues, lessons for juniors and a women’s spring clinic series. A new junior and senior 10 or 25 round play pass, good any day of the week, is available this season. Rates are available at walnutgreensgolf.com.
