‘Hope for Sal’ fundraiser Saturday in Palatine

The second annual “Hope for Sal” fundraiser concert will be held Saturday, Feb. 23, at Durty Nellie’s, 180 N. Smith St., Palatine. The concert benefits Prospect Heights native Sal LoCascio, an alum of Hersey High School in Arlington Heights who was injured in a ski accident on Dec. 12, 2011, in Colorado that left him paralyzed. LoCascio was in the midst of his junior year as a business-finance major at Northern Colorado University in Greeley at the time of his accident. Proceeds will help pay for a caregiver for LoCascio’s physical needs.
