Jacobs High to present Pops Concert

Submitted by Jacobs High School

The Jacobs High School Music Department will present its annual Pops Concert at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 8. It’s a special night because it is the only performance during the year that showcases every performing group at Jacobs. Come and hear a vast array of music ranging from marches and movie scores to classic rock and jazz standards.

As an added bonus, the Jacobs Performing Arts Boosters will hold a silent auction in conjunction with the concert. Some of the items to be auctioned off include White Sox tickets, a foursome at Golf Club of Illinois, and Wisconsin Dells getaway packages. Ten to 12 themed baskets filled with prizes also will be raffled off throughout the course of the evening.

Admission prices are $5 for adults and $3 for students, seniors and military personnel. All proceeds will go directly to the Jacobs Performing Arts Boosters and the Music Department. If you have any questions, call Anthony Gnutek, band director, at (847) 532-6277.
