Former Bears player at Knights’ blood drive

Submitted by St. Margaret Mary Knights of Columbus

The St. Margaret Mary Knights of Columbus 11091 are sponsoring a blood drive from 7:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 16, in McDonnell Hall at St. Margaret Mary Church, 111 S. Hubbard St., Algonquin.

Former 1985 Super Bowl Bears offensive lineman Tom Andrews will be in McDonnell Hall to sign pictures from 10 a.m. to noon for all that are present to donate blood. Additionally, they will be raffling off a football signed by three of the Chicago Bears from the 1985 Super Bowl Champs — just in time for Christmas.

They will have refreshments, doughnuts and other snacks in addition to door prizes.

To donate blood, you must be 17 years old or older and in good health and bring a photo ID. You can also give blood if you are age 16 with the written consent of a parent. If you cannot make this blood drive, consider donating at the LifeSource Center in Crystal Lake, and telling the staff that the donation is to be made for U202 which is the code for St. Margaret Mary Knights of Columbus.

Consider attending this event and give the gift of life.
