Palatine parks offer basketball league

League play begins Jan. 12

Palatine Park District offers a basketball league for boys and girls in first and second grades. The league will be held at Falcon Park Recreation Center from Jan. 12 through March 16. The league emphasizes the fundamentals of basketball along with sportsmanship and teamwork in a fun league environment. Teams will have one practice each week; practices will be held from 5:30-6:30 p.m. and from 6:30-7:30 p.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Games will be played on Saturdays between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.

There are three different league options: Boys First Grade League, Boys Second Grade League and Girls First/Second Grade League. Registration is accepted by mail, online at www.palatineparks.org, or in person at Community Center, Birchwood, or Falcon Park.
