Craft fair, flea market and book sale coming to Schaumburg library

The annual Craft Fair and Flea Market and the bi-monthly Book Sale at the Schaumburg Township District Library will take place Saturday, Nov. 10 at the Central Library, 130 S. Roselle Rd., Schaumburg. The Craft Fair and Flea Market will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Rasmussen Room, while the Book Sale will take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the basement. No entry fee or registration is required for either event.

At the Craft Fair and Flea Market, unique handmade crafts as well as new and gently used treasures will be for sale at great prices. All ages are welcome to come and browse, but children age 10 and younger must be accompanied by an adult. Prices are not negotiable and only cash and checks will be accepted.

Among the many items will be Christmas decorations, embroidered tote and zipper bags, books, jewelry, candles, toys, magnetic calendars, collectible cars and other collectible items, small household appliances, electronic games and stuffed animals. Second-hand clothes, including jackets and” like-new” girls dresses, will also be among the items for sale. One vendor will be selling beautiful ceramic Christmas buildings for anyone looking to enhance their holiday décor.

In the basement, a huge selection of hardcovers, paperbacks and DVDs will be for sale. Hardcovers are priced at just $1, while paperbacks and DVDs sell for 50 cents. Videos are free.

Everyone is welcome to attend both events.
