We already told the park district ‘no’

text size: AAA

The Arlington Heights Park District is guilty! They took their way-too-large bond issue to the voters just last spring. The voting citizens answered no!

Now they come again after reducing their over-the-top request by less than 20 percent. Do they not listen? These are hard economic times for many of our residents, seniors living on fixed incomes, their life savings earning under 1 percent in those inflation-eating but safe CD's cannot afford this continual raising of our property taxes.

This is just like the school boards' tactics of sending pink slips to all the teachers when they lose. People, these taxes go on forever. If our housing values increase in the future, so will this tax! Please join me in voting no!
