Hanover Twp. supervisor seeking re-election

Hanover Township Supervisor Brian McGuire has announced he will run for re-election in 2013. McGuire took office in 2009 after serving six years as township clerk and a decade as township trustee. Under McGuire’s leadership, the township was rated the most transparent township in the state by the Illinois Policy Institute. McGuire was also given the “Supervisor of the Year” award from the Illinois Township Association of Senior Citizen Services Committees and the “Friend to Youth” award from the Association of Illinois Township Committees on Youth in 2010. The township includes portions of Hanover Park, Bartlett, Elgin, Streamwood, Hoffman Estates and Schaumburg.
