Hanover Township seniors present variety show

On Saturday, March 24, Hanover Township seniors will present their fifth annual variety show titled, “2013 An Odd-essy.” The performance will begin at 1 p.m., at the Elgin Community College Theatre, 1700 Spartan Drive, in Elgin.

“Showcasing the talents of Hanover Township seniors changes what it means to be a senior,” said Barbara Kurth Schuldt, Hanover Township senior services director. “The face of our senior population is active and vibrant, which is what this performance is all about.”

Over 30 performers from ages of 60 to 85 will sing, dance and joke throughout the hour and a half show.

“This is truly a labor of love,” said Jan Klee, performer and member of the writing team. “A team of Township seniors and youth had lots of fun creating the costumes and props for the show.”

Tickets are $12 if purchased prior to the show or $15 at the door. To reserve a ticket, please call the Hanover Township Senior Center at (630) 583-5600.
