Youth Leadership Award nomination forms available

The Hanover Township Committee on Youth is accepting nominations for the 2012 Youth Leadership Awards. The committee will be honoring and recognizing community youth and adult leaders for being a positive role model for youth within Hanover Township. Awards will be presented in the following categories:

Rising Star Award: Given to an elementary student in K–6th grades.

Junior Leader Award: Given to a middle school student in 7–8th grades.

High School Leader Award: Given to a high school student in 9–12th grades.

Community Youth Leader Award: Given to an adult who resides in and works with the youth of Hanover Township in a leadership capacity.

Youth nominees must live within the township. All award recipients will be recognized at a banquet to be held at the township on Jan. 17.

“This is a great opportunity to recognize the leadership abilities of township youth and the adults that mentor them,” said Brian P. McGuire, Hanover Township supervisor.

Nomination forms are available on the township’s website at www.hanover-township.org or at the Hanover Township Youth & Family Services office at 250 S. Route 59, Bartlett. Completed nominations are due no later than Friday, Dec. 9.
