Hanover Township will dedicate a Heritage Marker this weekend at Streamwood’s Hoosier Grove Schoolhouse, a one-room schoolhouse between 1904 and 1954 that today serves as a museum.

A ceremony will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 29, at Hoosier Grove Park, 700 W. Irving Park Road. Officials will be in attendance and speeches will be given by Hanover Township Supervisor Brian McGuire, Streamwood Park District President Tom Keating and Park District Commissioner and Streamwood Historical Society member Rich Janiec.

Hoosier Grove will be the township’s third Heritage Marker. Other markers honor Ahlstrand Park in Hanover Park and the church cemetery at Immanuel United Church of Christ in Streamwood.
