Rep. Crespo to honor businesses for community service

State Rep. Fred Crespo (D-Hoffman Estates) is requesting nominations for the District 44 Community Business of the Year Award, highlighting businesses that are dedicated to improving their communities.

“I want to recognize the businesses that go above and beyond their service to help improve our community,” said Crespo. “Small businesses are the backbone of our local economy and help create a hospitable environment for residents and visitors.”

The award will be given to the business that displays the qualities of a good neighbor and demonstrates a commitment to improving the community.

Deadline for submissions is Nov. 30 and judging will be conducted by Rep. Crespo’s Economic Development Advisory Committee.

State Rep. Crespo will present the winner with an official House resolution that he will introduce in January.

“I want to promote the strong rapport businesses have with their community to demonstrate their importance to developing the local economy,” Crespo said. “My hope is that this award will incentivize both residents and businesses to invest more in their local economy and work together to craft a profitable business environment and welcoming community.”

To request a nomination form or for more information, call Crespo’s constituent service office at (630) 372-3340.
